This is our 2nd Class of the English Speaking Course Lesson 2 by Structures. In this class, you will learn 3 Basic Structures that we use commonly in our Conversation. The First one is “I am + (verb) + ing, The Second Structure is “I am + Getting and the third one is “I am trying to + verb. Below are the Definitions and examples of each.

Use of I am + (verb) + ing

This Structure is used to tell about the ongoing actions. for example, I am going, she is coming, They are sleeping.

Formulas

  • Affirmative Sentences: I + Verb + Object/Complement
  • Negative Sentences: I + Auxiliary Verb + Not + Main Verb + Object/Complement
  • Interrogative Sentences: Auxiliary Verb + I + Main Verb + Object/Complement +?

Use of I am + getting:

This Structure is used to tell about the ownership or going to buy a new thing. for example, I am getting a Heavy bike, I am getting a Fortuner, I am getting a new laptop.
